Icar Wooden Wall Lamp

The Icar Wall Lamp from Delva Home is a curved wooden arm holding a frosted glass globe, 13 by 25 cm. The wood is left with its grain showing and the glass is opaque rather than clear, so the bulb disappears completely and the globe becomes the light source.

That combination is why it works in a bedroom: the light is soft enough to leave on and the fixture itself reads as a warm object rather than hardware. It covers five to ten square metres, which is enough for a bedside, a hallway or a corner of a living room.

It takes a G9 LED in warm white and runs on AC 220 to 230V. Mounting uses standard fittings. Wipe the glass with a barely damp cloth and the wood with a dry one. It suits Scandinavian and Japandi rooms particularly well. Have it installed by a qualified electrician where local rules require it.
