Japanese Wood Table Lamp

The Japanese Minimalist Table Lamp from Delva Home is a natural timber base under a slim metal shade, 17 cm wide and 33 cm tall. The proportions are the design: a narrow shade and a low, heavy base give a small pool of focused light rather than a broad glow, which is what suits reading and quiet evenings.

Because the shade is metal and points down, none of the light reaches your eye line, so the page or the desk is lit and the rest of the room stays dim. It is dimmable with a compatible bulb, so the same lamp can run low for atmosphere or brighter for reading.

It takes a GU10 bulb, not included, and works with LED, incandescent or fluorescent. Black and white finishes are both available, each with the timber left natural. It runs on 110 to 240V and plugs in. It suits bedsides, study desks, living rooms and meditation corners. Wipe the wood with a dry cloth.
