Pleated Wood Table Lamp

The Medieval Pleated Table Lamp from Delva Home sets a cream pleated shade on a solid wood base, 29 cm tall with a 16 cm shade. The pleating is what does the work: light passing through the folds is broken into a fine vertical rhythm rather than reading as a plain glow.

The solid wood base gives it warmth and enough weight to stay put on a nightstand. It is the size a bedside lamp should be, tall enough to light a book and short enough not to shine into your eyes when you are lying down.
