Nordic Resin Wall Lamp

The Nordic Modern Resin Wall Lamp from Delva Home is a small sculptural block with a deeply ribbed face, mounted flat to the wall. Light escapes upward and downward rather than straight out, so what you see on the wall is two soft washes and the shadow lines of the ribbing between them, a quieter effect than a conventional sconce.

At 16.5 cm high, 14 cm long and 8 cm deep it is genuinely compact, which makes it useful in the places a bigger fixture will not go: either side of a bed, along a hallway, up a stairwell, or in a row across an accent wall. Four colours, black, white, green and brown, let it either disappear into the wall or contrast against it.

Resin holds fine detail and keeps its finish without the tarnishing that affects some metal fixtures, and it dusts clean with a dry cloth. It takes a standard E27 bulb, not included, so you can set the warmth to suit the room. It is wall-mounted and hardwired, so have it installed by a qualified electrician where local rules require it.
