The shade turns a full circle on its mount, so the same fixture works as a focused reading light angled down onto a book at night and as a soft uplight washing the ceiling when you want the room to feel calm. The body is machined aluminium with a slim, low-profile footprint that keeps it flat against the wall, out of the way of shoulders in a hallway and elbows beside a bed. Integrated LEDs mean no bulb to source or replace and very low running cost, and the warm output stays flicker-free and consistent over a long service life. Use it in pairs either side of a bed, in a run along a corridor, above a desk or beside a reading chair.
