ScandiArc Table Lamp

The ScandiArc Table Lamp from Delva Home borrows the arc that Bauhaus lighting made famous and strips it back to Scandinavian plainness. A single curved iron arm sweeps up from a weighted round base and finishes in a wide domed shade, the whole thing given a bright chrome finish that catches whatever light is already in the room.

The geometry does real work. Because the shade sits out over the arc rather than directly above the base, light lands ahead of the lamp instead of on it, which is useful on a desk, beside a reading chair or on a bedside table where you want the page lit and the rest of the room left dim. It stands 42.5 cm tall with a 28.5 cm shade and an 18 cm base, so it holds its position without a heavy footprint.

Iron construction gives it the weight a cantilevered shape needs, and the chrome finish wipes clean with a dry cloth. It takes a standard E27 bulb, not included, which lets you set the character: warm LED for a living room, brighter neutral white for a workspace. It is mains powered, so plan for a socket within reach of wherever it will stand.
