Vanessa Candle Warmer Lamp

The Vanessa Candle Warmer Lamp from Delva Home melts a candle from above rather than lighting it, so the fragrance is released steadily with no flame, no smoke and no soot. The lamp itself is the point of difference: a pleated shade on a curved arm over a wooden base, closer to a bedside lamp than an appliance.

At 21 by 11 by 31 cm it fits a nightstand or a shelf, and the 25W LED is included. It works with candles up to 10 cm tall, which covers most standard jars, and it warms the wax evenly so the candle burns to the edges instead of tunnelling down the middle.

Two finishes are available, black and white, both with the timber detailing left visible. Use it on a flat, heat-tolerant surface well away from curtains and other flammables, and let both the wax and the lamp cool fully before moving them. Wipe the metal and wood with a dry cloth.
