Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Delva Home collects when you visit or buy from delvahome.com, why we collect it and what rights you have. We are the data controller for this information.
What we collect
- Order information: your name, email address, delivery address, phone number and the details of what you ordered.
- Payment information: handled by our payment providers. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, never your full card number.
- Contact information: anything you send us by email or through a contact form.
- Device and usage information: your IP address, browser, pages visited and referring site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Why we use it
- To process, ship and support your order. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- To answer your questions. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in helping customers.
- To meet tax and accounting obligations. Legal basis: legal obligation.
- To keep the shop secure and prevent fraud. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- To improve the shop and, where you have agreed, to measure marketing. Legal basis: consent.
Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary, with: Shopify, which hosts this store; payment providers who process your payment; shipping and fulfilment partners who deliver your parcel; and our accountant. We do not sell your personal data. Some of these partners are outside the European Economic Area, in which case transfers are covered by the European Commission standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
We use cookies that are needed to run the shop, such as remembering your cart, plus optional cookies for analytics and marketing. You choose which optional cookies to allow through the cookie banner and can change your choice at any time through the cookie preferences link in the footer.
How long we keep it
Order and invoice data is kept for 7 years, as Dutch tax law requires. Emails are kept for up to 2 years. Analytics data is kept for a maximum of 26 months.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to its use, and receive a copy in a portable format. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. Email info@delvahome.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
