Glass Ball Pendant Light

The Glass Ball Pendant Light from Delva Home is the simplest form in lighting done properly: a hand-blown glass sphere on a brass-detailed fitting. There is no ornament and no shade shape to date, which is exactly why it works in a Nordic kitchen and a period dining room equally well.

Two diameters are available, 15 cm and 20 cm, both around 25 cm tall including the fitting. The smaller reads as a point of light and hangs beautifully in a cluster of three or five at staggered heights; the larger works alone above a bedside or a small table. Glass diffuses the bulb evenly, so light spreads around the room rather than dropping straight down.

The cable length is adjustable at installation, which matters more with spheres than with shades, since a globe hung at the wrong height sits in your eye line. It takes an E27 bulb, not included, so you can choose warm LED for atmosphere, and it runs on AC 85 to 265V. Have it installed by a qualified electrician where local rules require it.
